What is the FRA?

The Freedom Rangeman Association is a national organization for those who have earned the Trail Life USA Freedom Award.

Central to the aim of FRA is keeping those who have earned TLUSA’s pinnacle award involved in and connected to the ministry.

Volunteer Service

The FRA connects Rangemen with local troops to help encourage, instruct, and mentor Trailmen to expand Christ’s Kingdom on earth.

Fellowship

Regular online meetings and in-person events produce Christian brotherhood by spurring Rangemen on towards love and good deeds.

Professional Networking

Friendships made in the FRA connect Rangemen with nationwide college and career opportunities.

Faith Building

As iron sharpens iron, FRA strives to keep Rangemen sharp and ready to serve by staying connected to God and His Word.

  • Mission Statement

The Freedom Rangeman Association exists to perpetuate the traits of Christian leadership inherent to TLUSA Freedom Rangemen through the promotion of the Freedom Award brand by means of volunteer service, fellowship opportunities, professional networking, and faith building activities.

  • Philosopy

Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us to “consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.” As iron sharpens iron, TLUSA wishes to keep Freedom Rangemen sharp and ready to serve that they might expand Christ’s kingdom on earth as strong and loving men in the spirit of I Corinthians 16:13.

  • Membership

FRA membership shall be limited only to those who have earned the Freedom Award. There will be no opportunities for “honorary memberships.” All Trailmen become FRA members upon completion of the requirements of the Freedom Award.

  • Leadership

The FRA shall be led by a team of three (the Key 3), consisting of the Head Rangeman, Service Chairman, and Program Chairman. These three might be any Rangemen over 18, and are responsible for leading the FRA to fulfill its stated mission.
